Privacy First Approach

Code Format is designed from the ground up with privacy as our highest priority. Unlike many web services, we collect absolutely nothing from our users.

1 Information We Collect

Code Format is committed to protecting your privacy. We have designed our service to collect absolutely no personal information, usage data, or code content from our users. This includes:

  • No personal information: We don't ask for names, emails, or any contact details
  • No usage tracking: No analytics, cookies, or tracking pixels
  • No code storage: Your code never leaves your device
  • No IP logging: We don't log visitor IP addresses or access patterns
  • No session data: No server-side sessions or temporary data storage

2 How Our Tools Work

Understanding how Code Format works is key to understanding our privacy commitment. All our tools operate entirely within your web browser:

Client-Side Processing Architecture

Your Device
  • • Code input and processing
  • • Formatting algorithms
  • • Result display
  • • File download generation
Our Servers
  • • Static HTML/CSS/JS files
  • • Third-party CDN libraries
  • • No dynamic processing
  • • No data storage

3 Third-Party Services & Libraries

We use third-party services to enhance your experience, but we've chosen them carefully for their privacy standards:

JavaScript Libraries (CDN)

We use CDNs like jsDelivr and CDNJS to serve open-source libraries. These services may collect anonymous usage statistics but cannot access your code or personal data.

Google Fonts

Typography is served via Google Fonts CDN. Font requests may include your IP address in standard web server logs, but no personal data is collected or stored.

Font Awesome

Icons are served via Font Awesome's CDN. Like other CDNs, they may collect anonymous usage metrics but have no access to your code or activities.

4 Data Security & Encryption

Since all processing happens in your browser, your code benefits from multiple layers of security:

  • Local processing: Code never transmitted over the internet during formatting
  • Browser security: Protected by your browser's security model
  • HTTPS encryption: All website assets served over secure HTTPS
  • No persistent storage: Code disappears when you close the browser tab
  • Memory-only processing: No temporary files or cache storage

5 Children's Privacy

Code Format is designed for developers and technical professionals. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. Since we don't collect any personal information at all, this policy ensures we remain compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

6 Contact & Questions

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, please contact us:

7 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for legal compliance. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

8 Your Rights & Control

Since we don't collect or store any personal data, traditional data subject rights don't apply. However, you have complete control over your data:

  • Full control: You decide what code to input and when to clear it
  • Immediate deletion: Close the browser tab to permanently remove all data
  • No retention: No data persists beyond your current session
  • Export freedom: Download results anytime without registration

Privacy Guarantee

Your code is yours alone. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security. Code Format will never compromise your trust by collecting, storing, or sharing your code or personal information.

"Privacy is not about hiding things. Privacy is about protecting your right to share what you want, with whom you want, when you want." – Unknown

Important Notice

While Code Format provides strong privacy protections, remember that any data you download or save locally may be subject to your organization's data policies, local laws, or cloud storage provider terms of service.
